Forum for Tropical Disease Research & Control
The CENTROMAP has currently established a partnership forum with Government of Jharkhand Health Department and Catholic Relief Services(CRS), Ranchi, to work on the control of communicable as well as non-communicable tropical diseases. This is for the first time that such a partnership is being built between Academic organization(CENTROMAP), Government and NGO(CRS) in this region. The forum will try to establish a network in the region with other provinces, NGOs, academic organizations. The basic goal of the forum would be to control tropical diseases in the region through research, strategy development and implementation, followed by monitoring and evaluation.
Objectives of the forum are as follows :

To generate dependable baseline data on communicable diseases in the region.

To develop suitable project proposal with goal oriented and time bound objectives from time to time.

To seek appropriate funding for the project.

To develop strategies as far as possible locally applicable, for the control of tropical and communicable diseases.

To implement the strategies thus evolved, with strict monitoring and evaluation towards the goal of tropical disease control.

To take all necessary measures to make the programme sustainable.
Thus the CENTROMAP would like to invite willing organizations to be a partner to this activity for the benefit of the people of the region. Also the CENTROMAP would like to appeal to all concerned and seek financial support in whatever way is possible for undertaking research in tropical diseases and provide health care to the very poor people of this region of India towards the final goal of disease control.
